INTERLINKING OF RIVERS IN INDIA (KEN-BETWA)
OVERVIEW:
In the heart of India lies Bundelkhand, an arid zone that faces the constant threat of drought and flood in the same year. A river link had been proposed between Ken and Betwa rives as a solution but the issue is riddled with conflicts and potential advantages. With 8500 people to be displaced and a major chunk of the Panna Tiger Reserve is to be submerged in this ambitious project of more than ₹9300 crore. My friends and I created Nirvaha to get to the truth behind the Interlinking of Rivers in India.
